“Pour Some Sugar on Me” was a hit song for rock band Def Leppard in 1988. That title also describes what happened in the trunk of one of our family cars last week.My wife Regina had gone shopping and was lifting a 10-pound bag of sugar from the cart into the trunk when the paper bag containing the sugar ripped, spilling about half of it into the trunk. This was not a good thing.Regina was able to salvage the other half of the sugar, but the product failure was a clear argument in favor of Plastic packaging. The Dustbuster that she used to vacuum the sugar out of the trunk also was mostly made of plastic. Plastics make a difference!Do you have an opinion about this story?
