From the use, there are damping silicone oil, diffusion pump silicone oil, hydraulic oil, insulating oil, heat transfer oil, brake oil, etc.

It can be divided into primary products and secondary products from the processing conditions. The former refers to the silicone oil products before processing, including hydroxyl silicone oil, silicon functional silicone oil, carbon functional silicone oil and inactive modified silicone oil. Traditionally, the first two categories are called linear silicone oil, and the latter two are called modified silicone oil. The latter is silicone oil as raw material, thickeners, surfactants, solvents and additives, etc., which are processed by special processes, such as grease, emulsion and solution, such as silicone grease, silicon paste, defoamer, release agent and isolation agent.

Silicone oil is often not used alone, but made into effective application by special formula; it is not used as raw material, but as auxiliary material to produce certain effect. Generally speaking, there are three basic forms of silicone oil in the market: pure silicone oil, solution and emulsion.
