Medical silicone oil is a kind of polyorganosiloxane with chain structure with different degree of polymerization. It is prepared by hydrolysis of dimethyldichlorosilane with water to obtain the primary polycondensated ring. The ring is cracked and rectified to obtain low ring. Then the ring body, capping agent and catalyst are put together to adjust and polymerize to obtain various mixtures with different polymerization degrees. The low boiling matter can be removed by vacuum distillation to obtain silicone oil.

Application: there are various viscosities. It has high heat resistance, water resistance, electrical insulation and small surface tension. Commonly used as high-grade lubricating oil, shockproof oil, insulating oil, defoamer, release agent, polishing agent and vacuum diffusion pump oil. Methyl silicone oil is more commonly used. In addition, there are ethyl silicone oil, methylphenyl silicone oil and nitrile containing silicone oil.
