(1) wax emulsion can be combined with fatliquoring agent.

A small amount of emulsified wax is added to the fatliquoring agent to improve and improve the effect of fatliquoring agent. Through tests, it is proved that the addition of 1% to 5% wax emulsion to leather fatliquoring agent can improve the filling performance of fatliquoring agent, improve the permeability of fatliquoring agent in leather fiber, increase the waterproof property of leather, and make leather feel smooth, soft and full.

(2) wax emulsion used as additive in leather finishing.

Adding emulsified wax in leather finishing agent mainly plays the role of filling coating, improving coating handle, wear resistance, anti sticking and increasing luster. In the early days, wax wax, palm wax, insect wax, white wax and montan wax were used as raw materials to prepare emulsified wax, which had limited production and high price. In recent years, paraffin wax was used as the main raw material to prepare wax emulsion for leather. Paraffin wax as the main raw material can greatly reduce the price of wax emulsion, and the effect is not worse than natural wax. It is the main auxiliary for finishing high-grade leather, and can give special brightness and wax sense to leather. It can be divided into soft wax and hard wax for use in the bottom, middle and top layer of leather. The ionic properties of the emulsion can be divided into non-ionic, anionic and cationic wax emulsions, which can be compatible with different ionic finishing agents, and emulsion or solid emulsified wax can be made from the dosage forms. All products have good water solubility, stable emulsion, long-term storage, no lamination and no floating wax. It can be applied to all kinds of leather finishing. After finishing, the leather luster is soft and natural, the handle is full and moist, and the friction resistance of leather surface can be improved.

(3) Emulsified wax is used as leather brightener, matting agent and handle agent

There are two kinds of requirements for the appearance of leather products. One is to increase the luster of leather, such as polished leather, lacquer leather, polishing effect leather, etc.; the other is not to have luster feeling, so that leather presents real leather feeling and natural beauty. The former requires the use of brighteners, the latter requires the use of matting agents. When using different wax emulsions for leather top coating, some can increase the gloss or brightness of the leather, and some can produce matting effect. The wax emulsion with bright effect has a very small particle size and a relatively simple composition. It forms a homogeneous and continuous wax film on the surface of the leather. The film is very smooth on the surface, and has a strong reflection effect on the light wave, resulting in a glossy sensation. The wax emulsion with the effect of extinction has a larger particle size, forming a heterogeneous surface and uneven surface on the leather surface. Strong scattering effect is produced, which is the fundamental reason of extinction effect.
